Steph Hiscox

Company Director

With a rich background in special education, Steph's experience is fundamental to the structure and growth of uReach. Prior to her move into business leadership, she dedicated her career to supporting diverse learners as a teacher at Manor Green special school and within the SEN support unit of Edgbarrow secondary school. Steph now leads the operational and creative development of the uGroup, focusing on business strategy and scalability. Within uReach, her core purpose is to establish uReach as a highly effective, repeatable model of alternative provision that places children’s well-being at the forefront of every decision.

Jo Iremonger

Director of Inclusion

Jo brings over two decades of dedicated experience in education, ensuring every young person has the right environment to re-engage with education and build a brighter future. Her extensive background includes 12 years specialising in SEN and behaviour in primary education before transitioning to Foundry College Pupil Referral Unit, where she served for 10 years as the Inclusion Lead. This experience provides her with a deep, clear insight into the specific requirements for young people who thrive in a nurturing, holistic alternative provision. Jo's role now focuses on the quality and integrity of the uReach provision, personally overseeing the enrolment process and ensuring our model meets the specific educational and emotional needs of every child. Her approach is both strategic and compassionate, driven by an enduring passion for special educational needs.

Charlie Hiscox

Company Director

Charlie founded uSports driven by a strong desire to provide children with positive experiences through sport. As his business journey evolved, so did this passion, leading him to seek new avenues to support more young people. Recognising the significant and growing demand for SEND support and Alternative Provision within schools through uSports, Charlie established uReach. His vision is to expand the positive impact of the uGroup, ensuring more children receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

Mandy Wilton

Consultant Advisor

An esteemed figure in education, Mandy Wilton offers 30 years of extensive experience to uReach as a consultant advisor. Her most recent role was Executive Headteacher of Cranbury College, a well-regarded Alternative Provision in Reading. Mandy now lends her considerable expertise to several trusts, providing invaluable consultancy around AP. Her deep knowledge and insights will be instrumental in shaping uReach's strategic direction and provision.

The uReach Centre

Sindlesham, Reading

The uReach centre is located in the peaceful, rural surroundings of Sindlesham. We've invested significantly in renovating our dedicated alternative provision centre. This transformation has created a space designed to foster the growth and development of primary school-aged children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our thoughtfully adapted facility provides a truly bespoke and effective learning experience that goes beyond traditional education. Within this calm and supportive environment, every zone and resource is designed to provide a rich, engaging, and personalised journey for each child, allowing them to truly reach their full potential.

Learning Zones

Areas designed for calm, concentrated work, providing a quiet and supportive space for individualised & small group learning aligned directly with EHCP targets.

Sensory Room

A therapeutic environment offering a range of experiences designed to calm, regulate, and stimulate in a safe space for children to process sensory input and self-regulate.

Calm Room

A quiet, low-stimulus environment, thoughtfully created to provide a safe retreat for children who need to de-escalate, reflect, and regain emotional balance.

Kitchen

A practical space for developing essential life skills, from preparing healthy snacks to understanding basic nutrition, all while reinforcing learning in real-world contexts.

Outdoor Space

A secure, engaging outdoor space thoughtfully designed to stimulate the senses promoting calm, exploration, and positive interaction with nature coming in Phase Two.
